Get to a lawyer to help. You already know she is going to hurt herself in the long run. As you said, it is her money, and you know and respect that, but she also needs your help, because it is not in her normal behavior.
Ya know, Appy, that's the problem. It is her normal behavior. She is the single most selfish human being I have ever known. When my grandparents were alive I literally heard her say to my grandmother that she needs to stop spending so much money because that's her "birthright". My mom never made shit, all of her money was inherited from my grandparents, and a big life insurance policy from my step-dad. My mom has never worked for a living and she is a millionaire. She has no concept of what it takes most people to have the kind of wealth she got for free.
