How safe is sexting?
In January 2014, a 17-year-old girl from Saanich, B.C., was found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography a year after she was caught sexting nude photos of her boyfriend’s underage ex-girlfriend to her friends. The girl, who cannot be named because she was under 18 at the time of the offence, is believed to be the first minor convicted under Canada’s child porn laws.

Um..."safe" from what? From your personal nude photos potentially getting displayed all over the internet = not at all. I'd guess that most people who are sexting aren't thinking about how "safe" it is or isn't.
There are so many real life examples of what happens when your sexting goes public its not even funny. I seriously cant believe teens/adults these days are still doing it as if nothing ever happened. Oh well, this subject is just going to get more complicated as new technology will allow for even worse offenses to happen, and sadly its people with no idea of how this can be abused that will get it the worst.
