I definitely agree with the other comments but just wanted to underline that there is nothing illegal about changing a public database of general information. It is the responsibility of concerned parties to do their own research in places other than wikipedia. Also, the NYPD and other government and quasi-government organizations are constantly attempting to brainwash and control, the only thing notable about this one is that they got caught and/or didn't know how to hide their tracks.
