Apple has pulled Nest thermostats from its stores to make room for even smarter devices

I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. While the Nest aesthetically is a pretty damn good match with Apple, it's a Google-owned product that's likely to situate itself in their ecosystem rather/more than Apple's. And with all the Homekit stuff coming out, Apple's sure to want to make room for them on their own shelves in their stores.
I really wish Apple had purchased Nest and not Google. I think it was a missed opportunity. Much better than the Beats purchase. Hopefully, Homekit items will be just as good.
I am excited to see what they come out with as an alternative
