What a bummer but he lived a long, amazing life. It's over. :(
Such a classy guy, and ballplayer for the ages. Of all his amazing accomplishments, the one that blows my mind is this: He had more home runs than strikeouts in a season five times and struck out only 12 times in 597 at-bats in 1950, when he hit 25 homers. Unbelievable.
