Parents: Sombra and Radiant Hope *but adopted by Princess Luna

Short description: - She has crystal powers like Sombra but can’t control it when she’s mad, stressed or confused. Cadance teaches her how to use them calmly and the correct way with her techniques. - She can feel insecure at times - She hates it when other ponies look at her and whisper to one another while saying that she’s a daughter of a tyrant

Headcanon:

Before King Sombra’s reign, he fell in love with Radiant Hope and had a foal named Serene. Although nopony knew about this, (not even the princesses) they were a happy family and they loved each other very much but when Sombra took over the Empire, Radiant Hope died of depression because of seeing the monster Sombra became. Sombra took care of Serene and became very close each day. Little by little she noticed that the citizens were suffering from slavery and eventually found out why. But when Sombra knew that Celestia and Luna were going to battle him, he turned her into a crystal statue (of course it really hurt him) and hid her deeper than the heart into the castle where no one can find her. Serene is more important to Sombra than the Crystal Heart despite the darkness that changed him. After a thousand years, the statue of Serene was found by Princess Cadance. They did not know who she is or where she came from. They immediately broke her free with the Crystal Heart but she did not wake up for weeks. Ponies noticed that she looked like Luna so they called her “Little Luna” since they do not know her name yet. Before she woke up, Princess Cadance found a diary that belonged to Sombra and most of the pages contained the little filly. Everypony feared that she would follow in her fathers hoofsteps but thought that maybe using the power of love and friendship would change her fate. Since most ponies were afraid of her, Princess Luna decided to take care of her and watched her each day until she woke up. Luna started growing a strong bond with Serene and decided to adopt her as a daughter after a few years. Although Serene has times when she feels insecure and concerned, she still managed to become a princess in the future. The princess of justice.

The crescent accessory she is wearing symbolises that she is a descendant of the night.
