    I always forget that things actually existed before the 8-bit era. Well, I mean, on a commercial level. Obviously pong was the advent and atari did really good for a while, but to a younger gamer like me it seems silly in retrospect that there were so many attempts to do something right before nintendo came along with the NES and the gameboy and said "look guys, this is how you're supposed to do something."
