Corvette stolen in Detroit in 1981 returned 33 years later
The last time George Talley saw his beloved 1979 Chevrolet Corvette was when he parked it in Detroit in 1981. It was recently found in Mississippi and returned.

I'm surprised however that they still have info on a stolen car from 33 years ago. I almost feel like this was staged, like a bad PR stunt. I hope I'm wrong.
I remember in the not-too-distant past another long-ago-stolen-and-now-returned car story. I'll post a link as soon as I dust off my brain to remember when and where.

Thanks, would be appreciated. I can understand finding a car even after 2-3 years when the report and documentation is still somewhat in a database. But 30+ years is just damn impressive and at the same time nearly impossible. I doubt those stolen car reports were even stored on computers back then.
I'm thinking there were a lot of birthday candles, dandelion fluff, and falling stars being wished upon! Gives one hope.
I like this better already.
