Prince Targets Facebook Users in $22m Live Concert Piracy Lawsuit
International superstar Prince is back on the copyright warpath, yet again targeting individuals who are quite possibly some of his biggest fans. In a lawsuit filed in the Northern District of California, Prince is chasing down fans who found links to his live concerts and posted them on Facebook and blogs. The unlucky 22 individuals, 20 of whom are yet to be identified, face a damages claim of $22 million.

I don't think these people realize how these types of moves will effect their career and public perception. We live in the digital age, where social networks rule and shit spreads faster than ever. These entertainers seem to be listening to the wrong voices in their ears, and instead of listening to money grubbing lawyers who just want exploit in the name of the dollar in litigation, they should be listening to their fans and those who mean well for them and their careers. Incredible how many people on a yearly basis make the same stupid mistakes...
