So what happens now? Nothing I suppose.
I can't believe this guy is a professor of history and is blaming the Russians for what Trump is doing. Trump is doing what all authoritarian populists do, he doesn't need help from the Russians. He'd do it even if they were no Russia.
It looks like he's imitating Russia because Putin is also an authoritarian populist, but you could also say he's imitating Chavez or Berlusconi or Mugabe for that matter.
Timothy Snyder would make out like his own mother was a modern Pol Pot if you shook the change in your pocket for him.
