Funny enough, the founding fathers were considered radicals in their day for what they proposed and fought for. The country was founded on liberal ideals with the goal of preserving and protecting the rights of the common man. This was radical to the ruling government of Britain. We would have no United States had those radicals not spoken up. There is a horrible imbalance of wealth, thanks to the collusion of big business and complicit government. These economic bonds need to be broken, just like any other anti trust pursuit.
Americans will eventually get it right, after trying everything else.

Real socialists don’t get to power by saying “I’m going to seize all the means of production from people and run the country’s economy to the ground until people are dying on the streets from hunger”. What did you expect?
It's fine to a degree imo. How else you gonna have public roads, law enforcement, military, etc.
