Welcome to the question that will not die: Windows 10 is only free for one year, so what happens after that? For those who know the answer, they get irritated every time it is asked. That’s understandable, it comes up a lot. But for those who don’t know it isn’t their fault, the blame lies squarely on Microsoft MSFT +0.00% for some dreadful wording and a lack of transparency which it still hasn’t sorted out.
