    Take a look at what a SF86 form (PDF) actually is. Its 125 pages of literally all of the information someone would want to steal your identity. I'm pretty the only security question that isn't answered on it is the name of your first pet.

    Not to mention that, but people with a security clearance have to periodically resubmit these forms for new investigations, so even if they did something like only keep the most recent year worth of submitted SF86's on the network (and the hackers were only on the network for a short period of time) there would still be a decent percentage of all the individuals with a security clearance.

    Whoops.
