    This is interesting because the iron dome shield is only effective against rockets but not missiles. That said, who does Canada expect to be shooting rockets into the country? North Korean submarines coming in from across the pacific?

      It's just the radar technology that's used with the Iron Dome. The article is sensationalized.

    The article's title is sensationalized. They're buying a radar system that's part of the famous (and famously ineffective) Iron Dome. The contractor itself is a German company. Most likely this is to be used in the Arctic.
