Thanks for the feedback. Hook works via the Particle IFTTT channel. Its already there and works well. The consistency depends very much on the trigger event. Some are better than other.
On the IFTTT compatibility, its desired off of most smart home products these days. It allows cross-functionality between otherwise incompatible gadgets .

It very much depends on what you use as trigger - some like google, twitter are better than others (facebook) in our experience. Scheduling triggers work best.
