    So...essentially they're not just over farming but they're also destroying the environment by their technique. It'd be one thing to just be responsible for the extinction of the giant clam in the region...it's a whole other to take out that environment all together for one creature inside of it. It's like setting a wildfire to catch a deer. Insane.

    Very cool stuff happening with advent of streamers and youtubers. PewDiePie has a little bit of a video in response apparently. I think the next hurdle gaming will have to cross before becoming mainstream is how the "big names" handle the bad press. PDP did not seem pleased seeing his name everywhere associated with negativity via "gaming journalism" but he's not entirely throwing a fit about it atm. But in the same token maybe making a big deal out of it and going nuclear will push the gaming industry into that next level of cultural grip. It's worked for many celebs in the past.
