    Nothing "new" about this. My mother made them for breakfast using breakfast sausages. Around these parts,they are called "Pigs in a blanket." People coming to this country would have brought recipes like this with them.

      Did your mother use puff pastry to make pigs in a blanket? I always thought pigs in a blanket were made using yeast roll dough.
