Good riddance.
It's sad that it took this much ruckus for her to crumble. It shouldn't stop at just resigning from her position as Speaker. It should end with her in jail, like any common person would be if they stole this kind of money.
Makes me wonder what else has she been up to. The age of entitlement is alive and well.
I don't think it's just Bronwyn, although I think she does somehow view herself as some sort of cross between Margaret Thatcher and the Queen. It will be interesting if the finance dept. does a full breakdown of her travel expenses and exposes any inconsistencies that would indicate private use of taxpayer money as well as the indulgences that have already been brought to light.
I expect there's a number of pollies, on both sides, chewing their bottom lips.

I agree. The elitism amongst our public servants is outrageous. They forget they are meant to be working for the taxpayer -not living it up at the expense of the taxpayer. And the sense of entitlement and exploiting public funds is rife through Government Departments at all levels.
