As to the smugness, there is no doubt that will happen, just look at the disarray the GOP is in because their hand picked couldn't cut it. Despite watching in every election since probably 2008 as more and more of their base gets more and more fed up with the incumbent/traditional candidate which led to tea party... and yet this time around they still didn't get it and got a Trump. The DNC is about to have this problem, Bernie woke up a section of voters that don't like politics as usual, failure to capitulate and acknowledge this will only lead to the DNC having their own Tea Party movement.

I may stand alone but I find the fact that Trump is universally hated a plus for his campaign. That means both sides of congress will be hostile to his more "extreme" plans, like deportations and his campaign points if executive ordered have no real chance of going anywhere. On the other hand Dems pretty much are lining up behind Hilary from the get go despite knowing about her politics for profit style which means they can possibly push things through or stall any attempt by the GOP to block executive orders she might give.

I saw Bernie as kind of like your favorite grandpa, he told you a rooster could pull a freight train and you believed him. He had his ideals and didn't waver on them and even though I didn't like his ideals that was a good and respectable show, unlike some waffler's that appear headed to the big show in November.

This election cycle just sucks all around, it's a choice between two rocks and both are crumbling shit.
