    Another Day Another Channel?

When @snapzu liked or favorited something @ethicalbrand posted on Twitter I did what most real people who do not have a gazillion Twitter followers do and discovered Snapzu. I am always interested in content that challenges the status-quo. Frankly and in my honest opinion, the gap between the 0.1% and the rest is out of control. Debating that with folks who disagree with this is rather like debating climate change with climate change skeptics and therefore a complete waste of my time. Of course, these privileged people are, for the most part, probably the same folks who live in beach-side homes. Good luck to them and theirs. No, my interests and concerns lie with the folks who live on the other side of the street, of town or tracks. That's where I live and frankly I am tired of - among many other things - seeing banks getting fined billions of dollars for wrong-doing and nobody going to prison. So I am always open to plugging into promising sources of information, opinion and thought that are relevant and interesting in my field, which is - in the broadest sense - the field of 'commercial ethics'.

It's a challenging space to build an authentic business model based on helping consumers make better choices, but after 10 years we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As such I subscribe to most of the mainstream media brands, which are okay for keeping a finger on the pulse of news that corporate media believes will sell more advertising, but I also monitor a cross-section of reporting that ranges from bbc.co.uk, hbr.org and linkedin.com posts to thruthout.org, alternet.org and thebrowser.com. I tend to stay away from the Reddit types simply because they tend to drain a lot of my time due to the way they're setup. I'm hoping that Snapzu will add a new and interesting dimension to my feeds. It is going to take me a little while to find my way around here, but from the little time I have managed to spend looking around so far I am impressed with the way this community is managed. I look forward to sharing with y'all.
