    This is smart. A lot of the smaller laptops coming out nowadays don't have a DVD drive. Personally, I haven't installed Windows using a disk for years. It's much easier and faster to use a flash drive. This just saves the hassle of getting a Windows install image, getting it bootable on the flash drive, etc, etc.

      More than just laptops. Several desktop cases are starting to have zero external 5 1/4" bays as well.
