The geek in me is super curious. Otherwise that makes me totally and completely paranoid. Super creepy. I wonder what would happen if you tried to use the credit card number it provided you?

I would think that most of it is completly randomized based on a pattern for say a visa. However, with randomization there is always that one chance in like a million that a card may work.

On the otherside this does speed up softeware testing for tons of applications that may use an in-game shop where you need to automate the process. All cool stuff!

I feel this is completely legal, though at first it may feel a bit like it's not. It's likely all just values that are randomly generated based on a set of parameters. However, that's just speculation. If it's actually taking bits from actual identities, then there could be a problem.

I believe the biggest issue is the financial section. To make a realistic card number/csv, they open up the chance that they'll get one that actually exists one day. No bueno.
