    Similar bills have been introduced practically annually for years. History indicates its defeat.

    It would basically close down the U.N., as the U.S. funds the bulk of it's initiatives. We fund 22% of operations, in addition to 27% of military, plus hundreds of millions to hundreds of billions of dollars each to a multitude of individual agencies.

    As to "sovereignty" it is a no-brainer, and has some similar components as to the E.U. ala Brexit. As to the positive and negative impacts of the U.N. most are contentious and rely on one's POV.
