No way will they ever let you touch them. I accidentally put my hand on a yellow and black garden spider. She defended herself by dropping like a rock straight down and running for her life. I've also handled house spiders and jumping spiders. I find it's better to catch them in jars if you need to move them as you can break their legs really easily. Never been bit either.

I never kill bugs. Especially spiders. Their usefulness outweighs any reason for murder. But I'm not going around petting spiders either.
