This is all a symptom of the problem. The problem is money in politics. As long as we allow our politicians to be openly bribed, they will accept money for favorable legislation to the people who bribe them. The solution is so simple a caveman could do it- end money in politics and publicly finance all elections. Done. Easy-peasy.
