More interesting is the fact that these methodological/statistical difficulties are common throughout all research studies, and that's true of pretty much all (if not all) fields that involve scientific studies. The results from any one study are inherently flawed, and only by pooling various flawed studies that, at least in theory, counter-balance one another's flaws, can we become more confident in our findings.
