Fun Fact: William Jennings Bryan died just 16 days later after the start of the Trial at the ripe age of 65.
I grew up close to Dayton, TN and the Scopes Trial is still taught in schools as a part of Tennessee History, to think the south is just now really breaking away from it's religious bonds, but this guy 90 years ago was trying to teach evolution, if we had more teachers like him we would be so much further along.
