Canada just gets worse by the month.
"Are you 18 years or older?" is the question you get and everybody and their neighbors click "Yes". Even your 12 year old kid knows how that works. And, also, as if porn is the biggest threat to youth. It's easier to debate about porn, than, for instance, poverty that grows like wildfire these days. Or a worsening educational system. Or, and this is my favourite, the undermining of our democracies by lobbyists from a variety of interest groups, like banks, fossil fuel industry and weapons manufacturers.
Yes, it's always for the "safety of the children", and in no way to seek to regulate first amendment activity or build a database for what kinks any opposition my have. We should all just make things easier and send our browser histories to the government every month.
