Knee arthritis has doubled since 1950 for mysterious reasons
New research shows that knee osteoarthritis, a painful and disabling condition in which cartilage wears down and bones rub against each other, has doubled in the last 50 years. I think the reason is obvious and it is even mentioned in the article, e.g. inactivity and obesity. These two things destroy our joints and make them more vulnerable to conditions like osteoarthritis. Older generations tend to work outside more than we do and they also eat much less than us. Keeping our weight down and eat with moderation are our best bets to fight this outburst.
