    It may be slightly enthralling but it's also terrifying that the Mexican government can't keep such a high-profile criminal in jail.

      It's a catch-22 for some people. People exclaim that he's out because of corruption (which is true), but it's more complex than just taking bribes. Many of these prison guards were likely told that they and their families would all be brutally tortured and murdered should they choose to not participate in aiding El Chapo's escape. Mexico's only real solution would be to staff all prions with Mexican Special Forces, which is obviously logistically difficult.
