'$25 smartphone' coming from Mozilla
Mozilla has shown off a prototype for a $25 (£15) smartphone that is aimed at the developing world. The company, which is famed mostly for its Firefox browser, has partnered with Chinese low-cost chip maker Spreadtrum.

5 year old phone specs... no wonder they're keeping the price down
Well there has to be some kind of catch.
I'll bet that this phone won't be so "smart".
A $25 new device is really good. I hope it does well.
I doubt we will see many of these in the US or canada.
The reason why this phone has such low specs is because it'll be pushed for developing countries. A $25 smart phone males a lot more sense in South America and African nations where many people can't afford top of the line phones.
