Nice little poem, however machines capable of such thoughts wouldn't resemble those described.. and likely wouldn't care for humans unless they were egoistically programmed to ('as dogs').
So you're talking about some sort of unconditional love. I wonder how it will turn out in the end.
Knowing people, robots probably would (will?) be programmed to feel such undeserved affection for us...
