I really wanted to like this article, and it was good until the author needlessly dragged gamergate into it. I've read a lot of Salon in the past year or so and it seems that they more and more have has some serious circlejerk issues that they need to get over. It really causes them to lose major credibility when everything turns into an op-ed for the editor's personal crusades.
