The Internet is a bit of a big scary limitless place sometimes. I wonder what our lives would be like if the Internet hadn't become so mainstream; if it was just a kind of exclusive thing. I mean, you still get that feeling with smaller communities, but it's still intimidating at times. I wonder where we would have found opportunities to advance communication technologies if not for the explosive capabilities the Internet brought to the picture.

So no, I dont agree that the entire internet is a harsher and lonelier place than it was 10 years ago, but the mainstream sites have reached such massive populations that there can be no moderation.
