      Either they though the American people are very stupid, or they were sabotaging themselves on purpose.

      Or, it is them who are really stupid. This actually sounds more likely. They actually had the perfect candidate to run against Trump and got rid of him.

        Ok,why would they be sabotaging themselves on purpose.? What would be the goal? To let the general public see just how bad things will be? Or because the professional class was so determined to get her cause she'd do things their way that they missed the forest for the trees?
