I think you maxed out the tribes in which you could post this, but I think it would be very relevant to /t/makeup as well. Animal testing is something debated with a lot of heat on makeup forums. A part of this is that up until last year, animal testing was mandatory for cosmetics sold in China, which put some of the big cosmetics giants in a tough spot - and left some consumers very angry. I wonder if this means that big companies like L'Oreal will have to do some corporate trickery to get by, perhaps by opening a separate subsidiary that manufactures specific cosmetics just for China as required.
