Thanks for the related links. While I don't agree with the Atlantic that Snopes 'debunked' any connection between Rich and Wikileaks, you'll be glad to know I'd never relied on the sterling reputation for accuracy in journalism enjoyed by Faux News in general, nor Sean "Waterboard Abs" Hannity. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

To my mind, Occam's Razor favors the rather severely damaging DNC and Podesta emails having been leaked rather than, say, the Bond-movie-villain-Putin meets Manchurian-Candidate-deep-cover-superspy-Trump storyline the Post's dishing up for us day after day. But then, you know, I remember when Rich was murdered and Wikileaks posted the twenty large reward for info, and then there's Podesta leaving his smartphone in a cab overnight.

If I'm honest, I can't take the David Brock "Boris and Natascha" hokum seriously, and the more even legendary figures like John Lewis stake their opposition to Trump on their vapid paranoia about his love-that-dare-not-speak-its-name relationship with Putin, the less I care about the modern Democratic Party or its prospects. Red baiting like this would make Goldwater blush.
