Interesting read. From what I can gather from reading the article, this would affect US companies who have data stored on servers overseas. However, this would not affect overseas companies. So privacy-conscious people could choose to use non-US email providers, web hosts, etc etc. I feel that countries with strong privacy laws like Norway are well-positioned to take advantage of an increase in business from privacy-conscious consumers in the US.
