    I get it. If it needed saying once, it needed saying a thousand times. It’s a message that still hasn’t been heard even though by now we’re months past the election, and at the same time, the Democrats that needed to hear it are hurtling back through time into the Red Scare hysteria of the McCarthy 1950s. Go on saying it, too, because somebody that needs to hear it may come around.

    However, this article is about data, not market positioning or magical thinking on the part of neoconservative neoliberals. This is about the bigotry that is there in the data. We’re not pretending there is no such thing anymore, as a conditioned reflex move, are we? Yet?

    That as the Chief Justice says, we’ve reached the Day of Jubilee that bigotry is no longer part of our national character? Because I strongly suspect, despite what he or anyone else may claim, that there still may be some.
