Here is a link to various alternatives for ToR. I am not sure what is good an what is not, but I get the idea it's rather easy to switch to different technologies or software.
Bitcoin, ToR, all encrypted should be standard issue for everyone.
Or Litecoin, maybe. Tor? Eesh.
