There's one easy solution to this problem. Stop watching Hollywood movies. You'll not be missing anything of value.

I think the last movie I saw in a movie theater was "Titanic". At the time iirc it was the movie that had won the most oscars in history. So I went into the theater expecting to see a masterpiece, only to be presented with a crappy telenovela that someone thought would become nice by spending millions of dollars in special effects. I swore I'd never pay to watch a Hollywood movie again. And guess what, the ground didn't open under my feet. I didn't become a social outcast, or got massively depressed due to lack of entertainment.

These people have power over us only because we give it to them.
