I see all these people complaining that Trump is crazy, and I can't help but wonder if they've considered that Pence is probably much worse. I actually think that Trump may have chosen him as his running mate as an insurance.
My sense is that Pence was chosen for him by the Koch machine, and their wholly-owned subsidiary the Republican Party, to be the nation's CEO while Trump has his antic fits. For Pence to be the much-worse alternative to Trump, you would have to credit Trump with being something more than mass-of-personality-disorders-in-chief. He may be Trump's Cheney, and a Christian Dominionist theocon, but it wasn't being crazy that got him his job.
True. I didn't mean "worse" as in "crazier" but as in actually worse.
