To some extent, for 3rd world economies going through this, yes. As far as China, no doubt all of these have occurred and will continue to. You can also thank the Chinese authorities who write the laws and expect everyone but themselves to obey them.

I would also like to add that not all of the outcomes of this ability to bring opportunity are bad. Much good has happened, but this never seems to make the light of day.
