It's time to take DNS out of ICANNs hands. If a few major players like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Cisco, Baidu, IBM, etc. join togheter and start supporting it, they could create a new namespace independent of ICANN, with a new and more secure protocol.
There's absolutelly no need whatsoever to remain under the thumb of ICANN on this subject.
