People have become too stupid for Democracy. The Idiocracy is here to stay.
My sense is that you’re not giving people enough credit. We’re not only the product, we’ve created the market. We’ve devised this trap for ourselves. It’s not as if David Bowie fell to earth with a vest pocket full of alien advancements with which to found modern technocracy. Well, not only that. We’re hunter and the hunted.
It seems that for most people, artificial “intelligence” is a license to stay stupid. After all, if the machines are doing all the thinking, why should we? It’s nicer to go click click like like.
This is a combination of the worst of The Matrix, Idiocracy, Brave New World and 1984. I wish there was another planet to move to. Or another species.
