This is such a sad story. I live in a border state and we have the same issue - people fleeing from violence, looking for a better life for their family and all too often falling prey to either human elements (like traffickers they've paid outrageous amounts to guide them over borders who then ditch them in the middle of nowhere) or the climate (I don't think people realize how brutal the southern Arizona desert can be).
