At the very least we started entering this phase when Tinkle-down-on-the-masses Reagan started making people (myself included) believe that if we just give rich people more money they will then make us all rich. How I got bamboozled by that madman is a mystery to me. Today when I look at tinkle-down it just seems insane. Rich people already have more money than they can spend, how would giving them more money make them create jobs? It's just such a line of bullshit that a person really has to be almost willfully ignorant to believe it.
