I had heard about a lot of these advances, but regarding Malaria, I had only heard about the method of editing males to produce more male offspring. I hadn't heard about using CRISPR to lower female fertility. That's exciting not only for Malaria, but Zika, West Nile, and many other mosquito-borne illnesses!
