I find this to be a shame honestly, so long as the state offers a free state issued ID to anyone with the appropriate documents showing citizenship, Birth Certificate/Social Security Card, then they should be allowed to check that people can legally vote. It can't cost a lot to buy a couple of food trucks and turn them into roving Voter ID centers that can go into poor areas and make sure those people have the opportunity to get an ID.
