On so many things, like making the Bush tax cuts permanent, renting the U.S. government out to BP as rent-a-cops during the Deepwater Horizon disaster, dialing the policy errors and outright crimes of the previous administration up to 11, President Obama has at least pretended it wasn’t up to him. The TPP and the whole raft of treaties meant to follow it, on the other hand — the most audacious long con of all time — he’s been calling his top priority for years. There’s no ambiguity on this. It’s obvious who this president works for, and what he wants.
No doubletalk about trade, no newspeak about a pivot to Asia, no jazz hands on the part of his cabinet, can hide the fact that this is meant to effectively end our republican form of government, and enshrine expected future profits as the highest purpose of man. It’s treason. Its supporters, whether they know it or pretend not to, whether in this or any country about to sign it all away, are without exaggeration traitors. ISDS is insane.

Eruditely said, totally agree.
